Students aren't the only ones bragging about Union College. Whether you've been here for more than 25 years or just 25 minutes, we bet you can see why.
Anyone who knows Kevin Erickson will tell you of his affinity for Union College. In 2001, Kevin came to Union College and he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2004 and an associates degree in psychology in 2006. Kevin joined the Union College staff first as an enrollment advisor and then was promoted to the director of enrollment. "I'm so thrilled to be able to work at a place I believe so strongly in," Kevin said.
Union College employee satisfaction is further illustrated in our level of long tenure. Of Union's 240 employees, nearly 90 have worked at Union for over 10 years, more than 65 for over 15 years, and more than 40 for over 20 years.
Dr. Nancy Petta, professor of health and human performance, has been teaching at Union since 1981. After more than 30 years at Union, she is still rewarded when students get excited about exercise through her Concepts of Wellness class. "You can't find nicer kids anywhere," Petta says. "It's great to come to a job that's not really a job. It's fun; it's like a family."
